Indianapolis home security guide: permits, leftover keypads, coverage
Indianapolis is not one permit office. We quote the openings on your house, name the city hall from your ZIP, then ADT monitors 24/7.
Historic in-city houses
Meridian-Kessler, Irvington, Lockerbie, Herron-Morton. More windows, original glass, leftover keypads. Indoor sensors first. A doorbell if packages sit on the porch.
Carmel, Fishers, Westfield new plats
Builder leftover keypads are not ADT. Photograph yours. Carmel is $10 one-time. Fishers is $30 for three years. HOA camera rules are common — bring them.
South and west collar cities
Greenwood, Avon, Plainfield, Brownsburg. School-day empties. Johnson and Hendricks paperwork is not Indianapolis city hall. Confirm the office on the call.
Independent Marion cities
Speedway, Beech Grove, Lawrence, Southport. Race month and weekday empties. Each city hall is not IMPD. We name the desk from your ZIP.
What to have ready before you call
- ZIP and city — Carmel is not Indianapolis, Speedway is not IMPD
- Whether you own the home
- A rough door and window count, including the garage
- Cameras yes or no, plus any HOA camera rules
- A photo of any leftover keypad
Call (463) 946-0074. You hear the monthly price, the $99 install, the agreement length, and the permit office before anyone schedules a truck.
